Volunteer training, Shotesham ruins

SPAB (Society for the Protection of Anicient Buildings) working party at Shotesham ruins Norfolk. We were involved in training volunteers in the use of hot lime mixing and flint repairs. We also built a kiln out of clay and burnt our own chalk on site. Fantastic to be able to pass on knowledge of trational methods to future generations.

Norton Subcourse

Norton Subcourse- Clad I Savolite board and then finished off with chalk lime. Including some clay lump for patching in.

Trimmingham church

Trimmingham church in North Norfolk. The area around the window was in need of some TLC. We have stripped the walls back and repaired with a lime render.

Trowse

This beautiful property was stripped back to brick and then we began to lime render the outside. We replaced and re-aligned the gutters and fitted new facias and barges.
